Journey from Exploration to Conservation

•Being honored as one of the “25 Heroes of Asia” by Time Magazine, Wong How Man is seen as “China’s most accomplished living explorer.”
•Discovering the source of Yangtze River and in the process changing the map of China, Wong has led six expeditions to the country’s remotest regions. He is also the only explorer from China hired by National Geography.
•Leading young students and villagers to develop and accomplish the project of preserving the endangered bird, the Patron of Wildlife Asia has supported conservation work on the Black-necked Crane for 14 years.
•Documenting the slaughter of poached Tibetan Antelope on Arjin Mountain, the film version of which brought international attention to the endangered species.
•Exploring China’s remote border regions for 30 years, Wong aims to restore an ancient monastery and the crumbling frescoes of a nunnery in Tibet.
